2025/2026 Palma 5 Board of Director’s Goals

1. Complete the waterside project – dock, beach, and kayak area.

2. Assess the condition of each utility system (waste, water, electrical, back flow valves, shut-off valves, etc.) and develop a replacement/maintenance plan.

3. Engage the committees to set annual work goals (i.e. update of the Hurricane Plan, non-cash payment system, policies for board consideration to improve community operations, etc.)

4. Undertake the corrections needed to pass the Fire Inspection in August 2026

5. Undertake the necessary steps to ensure the receipt of the $175,000 My Safe Florida grant funding and use the funds to supplement the SIRS Reserve to the extent required.

2025/2026 Palma 5 Board of Director’s Goals

  1. Create and implement a plan for the Waterfront including repair/replacement of the seawall and dock, incorporates the steps, landscape overgrowth, and kayak storage.  The plan must incorporate the interests/activities of owners beyond the current design, be implemented within budget and to a standard to realize decades of further sustainability. – Accomplished
  2. Onboard the on-site property manager and establish a fully functional well designed professional office space. – Accomplished
  3. Take advantage of the My Safe Florida program by advancing a project to harden entries. – Accomplished
  4. Develop a plan to update the Johnny Keefe Community Center to better address the changing needs and interests of the community.- Accomplished
  5. Form, populate and activate an Emergency/Safety Committee. – Accomplished

2024/2025 Palma 5 Board of Director’s Goals

  1. Complete the roof replacement in the tower and the villa/concrete projects successfully, within scope, costs and schedule. – Accomplished
  2. Improve communications with owners – listening to the owner needs and wants and providing to owner’s timely announcements, newsletter, agenda packages and notices. – Accomplished
  3. Execute the amended budget. – Accomplished
  4. Streamline operations, including contract bidding and selection process via an approved providers list, for accountability and delivery of high-quality services. – Accomplished
  5. Implement a process for detailed budget analysis. – Accomplished
  6. Complete the state required Milestone Report before January 1, 2025. – Accomplished
